About the Journal
Journal of Educational Management and Strategy (JEMAST) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research on strategic leadership, adaptive management, and organizational transformation in education. JEMAST examines how educational organizations and systems formulate, implement, adapt, and evaluate strategies in response to changing social, technological, economic, cultural, organizational, and policy environments. The journal particularly encourages theoretically informed and methodologically rigorous studies that explain how and why educational organizations lead, manage, build capacity, govern, allocate resources, and transform under changing conditions.
The journal welcomes research in the following interconnected areas:
- Strategic educational leadership and decision-making
- Educational strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation
- Organizational change, adaptation, and resilience
- Educational governance, policy, and accountability
- Strategic human resource management and organizational capacity

- Comparative and cross-cultural educational management and strategy
JEMAST welcomes scholarship from diverse educational settings, with particular interest in emerging, resource-constrained, culturally diverse, and underrepresented educational contexts, as well as comparative and cross-context studies that contribute to broader debates in educational management and strategy.
Studies focused primarily on classroom teaching methods, learning media, subject-content development, or individual instructional techniques are generally outside the journal's core scope unless they provide a substantive contribution to educational management, leadership, governance, organizational strategy, institutional effectiveness, or organizational transformation.

In 2026, the Journal of Educational Management and Strategy (JEMAST) was officially accredited at SINTA 2 based on the Decree of the Director General of Science and Technology, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Number 355/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026, concerning the New Accreditation Rankings of Scientific Journals for the Third Period of 2025.
