Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas V UPTD SD 12 Tanjung Betung melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Pembelajaran yang diterapkan saat ini masih bersifat konvensional, di mana guru lebih dominan dalam mengajar di depan kelas dan peserta didik kurang aktif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikirnya. Melalui model PBL, siswa dihadapkan pada masalah nyata yang dapat mendorong mereka untuk mengembangkan pengetahuannya sendiri serta meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL dapat meningkatkan daya serap peserta didik dalam mengasah pengetahuannya serta meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar mereka dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Peningkatan hasil belajar tercermin dari hasil tes yang menunjukkan kemajuan signifikan setelah penerapan model PBL. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan model PBL sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa di kelas V SD.


Abstract
This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at UPTD SD 12 Tanjung Betung through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The current teaching approach is still conventional, with the teacher being dominant in delivering lessons in front of the class, resulting in less active student involvement in developing their thinking skills. Through the PBL model, students are presented with real-life problems that encourage them to develop their knowledge and enhance their creative thinking skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. The results indicate that the implementation of the PBL model can enhance students' ability to absorb knowledge, improve their critical thinking skills, and increase their learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The improvement in learning outcomes is reflected in the test results, which show significant progress after applying the PBL model. Therefore, this study recommends the use of the PBL model as an alternative to improve the quality of teaching and students' learning outcomes in fifth-grade classes.
