Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of group discussion methods in teaching QS. At-Tin in grade 4 elementary school and to assess its impact on students' understanding of the content and meaning of the surah. Based on observations, it was found that students had limited understanding of the meaning and wisdom contained in QS. At-Tin, primarily due to monotonous teaching methods. Therefore, the group discussion method was proposed as an alternative to increase student engagement. In this study, students were given the opportunity to share their understanding and engage in discussions about the meaning of Surah At-Tin, with the expectation of enhancing their comprehension. The results showed that the implementation of group discussion methods significantly improved students' understanding of QS. At-Tin. Additionally, this method also increased student enthusiasm and active participation in the learning process.
