Abstract

Elementary education plays a vital role in shaping students' thinking and character. To enhance students' understanding and skills, innovative learning models such as Project-Based Learning (PjBL) are essential. This model emphasizes active student engagement in completing projects relevant to the subject matter, allowing them to grasp theoretical concepts while applying them in real-life situations. This study employs Classroom Action Research (CAR) to examine the effectiveness of PjBL in improving students' comprehension at SD Negeri 03 Kabun. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were students and teachers implementing the PjBL model in their learning process. Data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and student questionnaires to assess their perceptions and engagement. Additionally, students' learning outcomes were analyzed to measure improvements in their understanding. The implementation of PjBL in this CAR study aims to develop students' critical thinking, collaboration, and independence, while also enhancing their motivation through more engaging and meaningful learning experiences. The findings indicate that PjBL fosters a more interactive and effective learning environment in elementary education, with noticeable improvements in students' comprehension and skills in each cycle.
