Enhancing SKI Learning Outcomes Through Cooperative Learning Model at MIS Ath-Thalibiin Nanga Pinoh

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the effectiveness of the Cooperative Learning Model in enhancing students' learning outcomes in the subject of Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) at MIS Ath-Thalibiin Nanga Pinoh. SKI, which focuses on Islamic history and culture, is an essential subject that helps students understand the roots of their religion and its historical development. However, traditional teaching methods often fail to engage students and enhance their critical thinking and collaboration skills. The Cooperative Learning Model, which emphasizes group work, peer learning, and shared problem-solving, was applied to address these challenges. The research was conducted over two cycles, with each cycle involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through classroom observations, student assessments, and interviews with both teachers and students. The findings indicate that the Cooperative Learning Model significantly improved students' engagement, collaboration, and understanding of SKI. Through group discussions and collaborative projects, students were able to explore and analyze historical events in a more interactive and meaningful way. Furthermore, the model fostered a positive classroom environment where students learned from one another, developed communication skills, and built stronger social connections. This research concludes that the Cooperative Learning Model is an effective approach for teaching SKI, as it not only enhances academic performance but also supports the development of essential social and cognitive skills. The study provides valuable insights for educators looking to implement more engaging and student-centered teaching methods in Islamic history and culture education.
