Ridha Rahmat PutraRahmatrahmat1978@gmail.comSammy King Fai Huisammykingfaihui@eduhk.hkValensius Ngardiflavingardi@gmail.com
Secondary education in the United States is undergoing significant changes in response to the technological and economic developments of the Industrial Revolution 5.0. In facing these challenges, the role of hidden curriculum becomes crucial in preparing students for the increasingly interconnected and automated workforce. Hidden curriculum, which includes values, attitudes, and social skills that are not explicitly taught, has a significant impact on shaping students' character and interpersonal skills. This study aims to examine how hidden curriculum in U.S. secondary education plays a role in preparing the younger generation for the challenges of the industry, particularly in the development of social skills, creativity, work ethics, and adaptability. The research method used is a qualitative approach, through literature analysis and interviews with teachers and students, to explore the implementation and impact of hidden curriculum in the context of secondary education. The findings indicate that while formal curricula often focus on technical skills, hidden curriculum plays an equally important role in developing the skills necessary for success in the Industrial Revolution 5.0. This study suggests that more attention should be given to the integration of social values and interpersonal skills into the secondary education curriculum, as well as the importance of teacher training to optimize the role of hidden curriculum in preparing students for the ever-evolving global challenges.
2024-12-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Christopher DeLuca, Nathan Rickey, M. Twenty learners in the XII grade at Mamba'us Sholihin High School in Blitar during the 2024–2025 school year serve as the research topic for this kind of quantitative investigation. The study's variables were the independent variable of instructor teaching style and the dependent variable of student learning motivation. Student learning motivation and teacher teaching style questionnaires were the tools utilized. Questionnaires and documentation were used as data collecting methods. Descriptive analysis in the form of percentages and correlation analysis using chi square were employed in the data analysis. According to the findings of the descriptive analysis, 30% of students believed that the teacher had a good teaching style, while the remaining 70% said that the teacher did not. According to the findings of a descriptive study on student learning motivation, just 30% of students have a high interest in learning, while 70% of students have a poor interest. In class XII SMA Mamba'us Sholihin Blitar, the results of the chi square analysis showed a substantial correlation between the teacher's teaching style and the students' enthusiasm to learn (CC = 0.606, P = 0.002). It is clear from the goals and data analysis that the instructor's method of instruction has a strong effect on student learning motivation.
2024-12-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Ilhan Arya Wiangga, Nurhaifuddin Ivan Febriyantohttps://journal.makwafoundation.org/index.php/jemast/article/view/124Pengaruh Lingkungan Asrama dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di Pondok Pesantren Syech Ahmad Chatib2025-02-24T13:50:09+07:00Fikriah Islamiminsuga1507@gmail.comAfdhil Fadlimtahmadchatib@gmail.com
Syech Ahmad Chatib Islamic Boarding School, which follows the Salafiyah education system, requires all students to reside in dormitories and communicate in Arabic and English daily. Although the institution has only been operational for three years, its graduates are expected to be proficient in multiple languages. This study aims to examine the Arabic language learning system based on routines designed to familiarize students with speaking the language. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, data collection was conducted through observations, interviews, and documentation. The primary focus of this research is to analyze how the environment influences students' use of Arabic, particularly in daily interactions. The findings indicate that the success of Arabic language learning heavily depends on the creation of a supportive linguistic environment. Speaking fluency, as a crucial aspect of language skills, is difficult to achieve without proper environmental arrangements. Therefore, establishing a language-friendly atmosphere should be a shared responsibility among dormitory administrators and school management. Active participation from all elements of the boarding school in fostering a conducive linguistic environment enhances the effectiveness of learning. Several strategies implemented in creating this environment include vocabulary building (mufrodat), displaying Arabic vocabulary in dormitory areas, daily conversations in Arabic, as well as speech and drama activities conducted in Arabic. Consequently, the boarding school environment plays a significant role in improving students' Arabic language proficiency effectively and sustainably.
2024-12-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Fikriah Islami, Afdhil Fadlihttps://journal.makwafoundation.org/index.php/jemast/article/view/90Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar SKI Siswa Kelas XI IPA dengan Menggunakan Metode Mind Mapping di MAN 3 Solok2025-02-25T09:50:33+07:00Atika Putri Lestariatikaputrylestari@gmail.comCharles Charles2141243.charles@uib.eduErsisri Ersisriersisri@gmail.com
This study examines the implementation of the Mind Mapping method in the teaching of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at MAN 3 Solok as an effort to improve the learning outcomes of 11th-grade students. Low student participation and difficulties in understanding the material necessitate innovative strategies to create a more engaging and effective learning environment. To address these challenges, this study employs a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology. The research follows several stages, including initial observations, lesson planning, the implementation of the Mind Mapping method, and an evaluation of its effectiveness. Data collection techniques involve classroom activity observations, documentation of student progress, and interviews with both students and teachers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the method’s impact. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after implementing the Mind Mapping method. In the pre-cycle stage, the average student score was only 44.94, with a mastery level of 8%. After the first cycle, the average score increased to 70.04, with a mastery level of 42%. In the second cycle, the results improved further, with an average score of 85.95 and a mastery level reaching 86%. These findings demonstrate that the Mind Mapping method effectively enhances students' comprehension and engagement in SKI learning. This study contributes to the field of education by providing empirical evidence of the effectiveness of Mind Mapping in Islamic studies, encouraging educators to adopt student-centered learning methods to enhance understanding and critical thinking skills.
