Journal of Visual Learning and Pattern Discovery (JVLPD) is an international peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the publication of high-quality research in the areas of visual learning, pattern discovery, and intelligent visual understanding. The journal provides a scientific forum for original contributions that advance theoretical, methodological, and applied studies involving image, video, 3D, and multimodal data.
The journal welcomes articles covering, but not limited to, visual representation learning, pattern recognition and analysis, image and video understanding, object detection and segmentation, scene understanding, visual reasoning, self-supervised and transfer learning, multimodal and vision-language learning, explainable and trustworthy visual AI, as well as emerging approaches in computational visual intelligence. Application-oriented studies are also encouraged, provided they demonstrate clear methodological novelty, technical rigor, and broader relevance to the field.
Journal of Visual Learning and Pattern Discovery aims to serve researchers, academics, practitioners, and interdisciplinary communities working at the intersection of computer vision, machine learning, and pattern analysis. By emphasizing scientific quality, reproducibility, and innovation, the journal aspires to become a credible platform for disseminating impactful research in visual intelligence and pattern-driven discovery.
This journal is published by Yayasan Lembaga Studi Makwa (Makwa Foundation) in collaboration with the Program Studi Informatika, Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi.
